Privacy, terms and the rest of the paperwork

This Privacy Policy explains what information Sharmaji Technology Media collects across its properties — Sharmaji Tools, Sharmaji Musics, and the Gitesh Sharma Blog — why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Sharmaji Tools

Data we do not collect

Every tool on Sharmaji Tools runs locally in your browser. When you merge, compress, convert, sign, watermark or otherwise process a PDF (or use one of the everyday utilities), the file is handled entirely on your own device using client-side code. It is never uploaded to, or received by, our servers — so we have no way to see, store or retain the content of any file you work with there. The only information generated is standard web-hosting activity (see "Hosting logs" below).

Sharmaji Musics

Data we collect

To submit a release through Sharmaji Musics you provide information we need in order to review and distribute it, including:

• Release details — song title, singer, lyricist, music producer and recording company
• Submitter details — the name and contact information of the person submitting the release
• Files — a release poster image and the audio file itself

These files and details are stored using Google Drive and used to review, prepare and distribute your release to streaming and social platforms. Once a release goes live, its title, artist name and cover art become publicly visible on the platforms it is distributed to — that visibility is the point of the service, so please only submit details you're comfortable making public in that way.

Reading the Blog

Reading blog posts doesn't require an account and doesn't involve us collecting any personal information beyond the standard hosting logs described below. If the Blog ever adds a way to comment or subscribe, this policy will be updated first to describe exactly what's collected and how.

All properties

Contact form data

If you use our contact page, we collect the name, email address, topic selection, optional reference and message you enter. Submissions are delivered to our inbox through a third-party form processor (FormSubmit) rather than stored in a database we manage directly.

Hosting logs

This site, and the Blog, are hosted on GitHub Pages. Like most web hosts, GitHub's infrastructure may automatically log standard technical information — such as IP address, browser type and request timestamps — for security and performance purposes. We don't separately collect or analyse this data ourselves.

Third-party services we rely on

• GitHub Pages — hosts this website and the Blog
• Google Drive — stores files submitted through Sharmaji Musics
• FormSubmit — delivers messages sent through our contact form
• Distribution platforms — Spotify, JioSaavn, YouTube Music, Hungama, Apple Music, Amazon Music, SoundCloud, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Tidal, Shazam, iHeartRadio, Pandora, 7Digital, Zing Mp3, KKBox and other partners a release is distributed to

Each of these operates under its own privacy policy once your information reaches them.

How we use your information

• To provide, operate and improve Sharmaji Tools, Sharmaji Musics and the Blog
• To review, prepare and distribute music submissions
• To respond to messages sent through the contact page

Data retention

There's nothing for us to retain from your use of Sharmaji Tools, since file content never reaches us. For Sharmaji Musics, submission details and files are kept for as long as needed to distribute and manage the release. You can ask us to delete the information we hold by emailing info.giteshsharma@gmail.com — note that removing a release already live on a third-party platform depends on that platform's own takedown process and may take additional time.

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing info.giteshsharma@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this section will reflect the most recent revision.

These Terms govern your use of Sharmaji Tools, Sharmaji Musics, and the Gitesh Sharma Blog. By using any of them, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be capable of entering into a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you. If you're under 18, please use our properties with the awareness and involvement of a parent or guardian.

Sharmaji Tools

Terms of use

• Tools are provided "as is" for your personal or professional convenience. Since processing happens on your own device, you're responsible for keeping your own backup of any file before editing it — we have no copy to recover if something goes wrong locally.
• Use the tools only on content you have the legal right to handle. In particular, the Unlock tool is meant for PDFs you own or are otherwise authorised to remove protection from.
• We may add, change, or discontinue individual tools at any time without notice.

Sharmaji Musics

Terms of use

• By submitting a release, you confirm it is your own original work, or that you hold all rights and licences needed to submit and distribute it, and that it does not infringe anyone else's copyright or other rights.
• You grant Sharmaji Musics a non-exclusive right to store, prepare and distribute your submitted release — including the poster artwork and metadata — to the platforms listed in our Privacy Policy, and to display that material in connection with the release.
• Poster and audio files must meet the specifications shown on the upload page (poster: 3000×3000px JPG, no promotional text or third-party logos; audio: MP3, 320kbps, 44.1kHz). Submissions that don't meet these may be returned for correction.
• The roughly three-week turnaround to go live is an estimate. Final review and go-live timing on any individual platform is decided by that platform, not by us.
• We may decline, delay, or remove a submission that fails our review, infringes another party's rights, or otherwise breaches these Terms.

Terms of use

• The Blog publishes articles on technology, SEO, Google's products and updates, and news related to Sharmaji Technology Media. Posts reflect the author's own research and opinion at the time of writing, not official positions of Google or any other company mentioned.
• Technology and SEO practices change quickly. An older post may no longer reflect current tools, algorithms, or best practices — always check a current, official source before acting on anything technical.
• Nothing on the Blog is professional, legal, or financial advice, and following it doesn't guarantee any particular outcome (search ranking, traffic, or otherwise).
• We may edit, update, or remove blog posts at any time, including after publication.

Prohibited use

You agree not to use any of our properties for anything unlawful or fraudulent, to submit content you don't have the rights to, or to attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer them.

Termination

We may suspend or discontinue access to all or part of any property at our discretion, including where these Terms have been violated.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Sharmaji Technology Media is not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost files, lost revenue, delayed or rejected distribution, or decisions made based on something you read on the Blog — arising from your use of our properties.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

The information and tools on this site are provided in good faith, for general and personal use. Nothing here is offered as legal, financial or professional advice.

Sharmaji Tools

Please check the output of any tool — a converted file, a compressed PDF, an OCR result, an applied signature — before relying on it. We're not responsible for a document's content, or for decisions made on the basis of a file processed through the workshop.

Sharmaji Musics

We don't guarantee that a submission will be accepted by every platform, an exact go-live date, chart placement, streaming numbers, or any particular level of earnings. These depend on factors outside our control, including each platform's own review process and how listeners respond to a release.

Blog posts about technology, SEO, and Google's products are independent commentary and analysis — they are not official guidance, and Sharmaji Technology Media is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google or any other company discussed, unless a post explicitly says otherwise. Following advice from a post is not guaranteed to improve search rankings, traffic, or any other outcome, and technical details may go out of date as platforms change. Product and company names mentioned on the Blog (including Google, YouTube, and others) are trademarks of their respective owners, used only to refer to and discuss those products.

External links

Links to third-party sites — including the streaming and social platforms a release is distributed to, and sources referenced in blog posts — are provided for convenience. We don't control, and aren't responsible for, their content, availability or practices.

This site itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies.

Hosting-level logging

As with most static websites, our host (GitHub Pages) may record standard technical details — such as IP address, browser type and timestamps — for its own security and performance purposes. We don't operate this logging ourselves and don't use it for tracking.

Third-party cookies

Features provided by third parties — our contact form (FormSubmit) and, for Sharmaji Musics, Google Drive — may set their own cookies when you interact with those specific features. Blog posts may also embed third-party content such as YouTube videos or social posts, which can set their own cookies when you interact with the embed. All of these are governed by that provider's own cookie and privacy policy, not ours.

Managing cookies

You can view, block or delete cookies at any time through your browser's settings.

Sharmaji Technology Media respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects the same from anyone using our properties.

Sharmaji Tools

Sharmaji Tools processes files locally in your browser. We never receive, host or store the content of any file processed there, so we have no ability to view, index or redistribute anything run through the workshop's tools.

Sharmaji Musics

Every release submitted for distribution must be the submitter's own original work, or something they hold full distribution rights to. If you believe a release distributed through Sharmaji Musics infringes your copyright, you — or someone authorised to act on your behalf — can send us a takedown notice.

Gitesh Sharma Blog

Articles, analysis, and original images published on the Blog belong to Sharmaji Technology Media (or the author) and are protected by copyright. You're welcome to quote a brief excerpt with attribution and a link back to the original post — republishing a full post elsewhere needs our permission first. Where a post references or embeds third-party material (screenshots, quotes, images), it's included under fair use or with attribution; if you believe something on the Blog infringes your rights, the same takedown process below applies.

How to file a takedown notice

Email info.giteshsharma@gmail.com with the subject line "DMCA Takedown Notice - [Name of Platforms/Tools/Songs/Content]" and include:

• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
• Identification of the material you claim is infringing — song title, artist name, and the platform or link where it appears — with enough detail for us to locate it
• Your contact information: name, address, phone number and email
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
• Your physical or electronic signature

What happens next

We review valid notices and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the release or blog content in question — and, for a release, request its removal from the relevant distribution platforms. We'll make a reasonable effort to notify whoever submitted or published it.

Counter-notice

If you believe something was removed in error, you can send a counter-notice to the same email address, including identification of the removed material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake, your consent to the applicable jurisdiction, and your signature.

Repeat infringers

We reserve the right to remove content, and to decline future submissions, from anyone found to have repeatedly infringed others' rights through our properties.
